Within the scope of Project TRANSCREA, Madeira Technology and Science Park promotes entrepreneurship directed towards Technology Based Enterprises (TBE)

 

On rhe 14th April, a seminar is taking place at Madeira technology and Science Park, the purpose of which is to promote entrepreneurship and its tools, especially concerning Technology Base Enterprises. Having a practical component, this seminar is presented by Professors Lola Garzon of Valencia Polytechnic University and Carmen Freitas of the University of Madeira, and also will hold two discussion tables to debate the key factors for the success on creating enterprises and opportunities to create TBEs.

 

The seminar is promoted by TRANSCREA, an Eiropean Community project the purpose of which is to improve quality and efficiency of support to technology based enterprises at Azores, Madeira and Canary islands. Therefore, entities and universities of these three regions will attend, promoting experience interchange.

Madeira Tecnopolo promotes Good Practices Seminar in Romania

 

 

Within the scope of TOUREG Project, promoted by FP7, Madeira Tecnopolo organizes the second seminar with international nature. The first was held at Lisbon on January 2009 with the support of the Regional Secretary of Tourism and Transports, and now the second will happen at Baile Herculane, Romania. Baile Herculane is situated at Mehedinti, a Romanian province which is also a partner in the TOUREG Project. The objective is to carry there, examples of good practices and case studies which may lead to an exchange of knowledge.

 

Six European regions participate in the Project: Balearic islands, Crete, Mehedinti, South West, Norrbotten and Madeira, which reflect six different realities.

 

The Project aims at creating clusters of research, knowledge and competitiveness in the tourism sector. In short, TOUREG should present, in the end, improvements in competitiveness and strategic position of the services sector, especially those focused on tourism through the creation and development of a a platform to generate and transmit knowledge based on technological innovation and research in that domain.
