Presented at Madeira Tecnopolo
First Master in Technology of Entertainment
The first professional master in Technology of Entertainment in Portugal, created in the scope of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, was presented las July at Madeira Tecnopolo.
The session has as speaker, Don Marinelli, Executive Director of the Entertainment Technology Centre, also had the presence of the State Secretary for Science Technology and Education, Manuel Heitor, of the Vice-President of the Regional Government of Madeira, João Cunha e Silva, of the Madeira University Rector, José Manuel Castanheira da Costa, of the Chairman of the Administration Board, Raul Caires and of the National Director of CMU Portugal, João Barros.
The MET aims to stimulate the leadership in education and research combining technology and arts in the creation of new processes, tools for the creation of new stories in entertainment.
In the basis of the concept is the interaction between people with different profiles and trainings from arts to technologies that through a combined work will be able to produce new ways of entertainment and information to communicate with an audience.
