TOUREG in final stage of lifetime
After 36 months of active performance, TOUREG project reaches the end, its objectives having been reached. In a partnership of 6 regions representing 6 European countries, its results and the exchange of knowledge and good practices became a reality. Madeira (Portugal), Balearic Islands (Spain), Mehedinti (Romania), South West (Bulgaria), Crete (Greece) and Norrbotten (Sweden), worked together on promoting good practices in the new technologies and tourism area in order to be beneficial to procedures and methods within their regions and among their Medium and Small sized enterprises (PMEs). From the most visible results, emphasis should be given to the Technological Map which enables companies from any of the 6 regions to access information about offer/search at any of the other ones. At Madeira, however, the importance of work continuity done within the scope of the project was always present and the regional partners: Madeira Tecnopolo, AREAM and Expedita worked together into creating a workgroup which evolves into a cluster in the tourism sector. |
